Visitors to Ca’ Cirigiolo can easily reach several important centres for Italian art: Urbino, Gubbio, Assisi, Perugia, Arezzo.
Urbino is certainly the most famous town of The Marches. Under the rule of Federico of Montefeltro in the fifteenth century it became one of the most important centres of the Renaissance. It was an important cultural centre for great artists, and men of science and literature. Urbino is the birthplace of one of the grand masters of Italian painting – Raphael, Bramante, Laurana, Francesco di Giorgio Martini and Piero della Francesca all worked here.
